Умер фронтмен группы Budgie Бёрк Шелли

10 января в Уэльсе на 72-м году жизни умер Джон Бёрк Шелли, вокалист, бас-гитарист и автор песен важнейшей валлийской группы Budgie. Об этом в Facebook сообщила его дочь Эла.

Burke Shelley’s passing reminds us of his immense talent whose body of work has inspired generations of musicians and will continue doing so long into the future. Бёрк скончался во сне в госпитале родного Кардиффа. В последние годы артист страдал синдромом Стиклера, очень редким генетическим заболеванием, перенес операцию (которую откладывал до последнего) и жаловался, что ему теперь сложно одновременно петь и играть на бас-гитаре.

На момент смерти Шелли его группа считалась в очередной раз условно распущенной, хотя официального решения о ее дальнейшей судьбе принято не было.
